Platypus Kitchen @ Bugis Junction

Not only are the pastas at Platypus Kitchen good, their other dishes are relatively good as well. They have quite a few restaurants too including one of the popular one known as "Platypus Lobster Shack" which serves great lobster rolls, or so I heard.

Had dinner @ Platypus Kitchen earlier on with my family and we ordered:

Bacon & Roasted Pumpkin Soup ($8.90)

Really loved this soup.
The pumpkin was sweet and the bacon added a nice saltiness which combined with the soup really well. And not to forget the cheddar inside which was a bonus to the soup!

Scallop Squid Ink Risotto ($18.90)

Do you know how you can't really taste anything different or unique when you have squid ink dish?
This was different.
There was an identifiable taste of the squid ink in the risotto.
Overall, this was delicious but at the last few bites, I was feeling a bit too overwhelmed with the dish and got a little bit sick of the taste.

Lobster Roll: The Traditional ($23.90)

My big sister had this and she was in love with it.
I personally did not find this dish THAT nice because I am not a fan of seafood.

Duck Confit & Garlic Mash ($19.90)

Duck meat was super tender.
My dad enjoyed it but towards the end, he said it got really salty.

Seared Salmon & Asian Risotto ($18.90)

Salmon with very little or no seasonings at all. If eaten alone, it can be really tasteless.
But of course it is meant to be eaten with the risotto which was really flavourful and went well with the salmon.

Warm Apple Tart & Ice Cream ($10)

The ice cream had some popping candy on it which was quite fun to eat LOL. The candies were dancing in our mouths! Apple tart was light and not too sweet.
A delightful combination of ice cream, apple tart & popping candy to end our dinner!
