The Tastemaker Store

Yesterday, my friend and I headed to The Tastemaker Store for lunch at around 12.30pm and to our surprise, we were the only customers. However, from 1pm onwards, the crowd slowly came in and it was soon packed!
We had some difficulties finding the place because it is hidden in between the HDB flats but thanks to google maps, we didn't get lost! :P

We ordered these 3 items to share:

Yam cake ($3.80)

This was really good! My friend said it tasted like the ones that her grandmother used to make.
Definitely worth a try if you do visit the place!

Toast with lemon curd & clotted cream with a cup of tea/espresso and soft boiled eggs ($5.80)

A really unique taste - combination of sweet & sour.
The first two bites I found it to be slightly strange and overly sour. However, after a few more bites and getting used to the taste, I found it to be pretty tasty. So do give it a try to surprise your taste buds! :)

Toast with kaya & clotted cream with a cup of tea/espresso and soft boiled eggs ($5.80)

This was my favourite out of all the 3 dishes!
Bread was soft and chewy and the kaya was good.

Location: Blk 22 Havelock Road (Tiong Bahru MRT)
